WHY WE'RE THE BEST TENNIS ACADEMY...
The North Miami Beach Academy uses one of the most customized developmental youth tennis training programs in the industry. The Directing team features Andres Weisskopf, as Tennis Academy Director. Andres Weisskopf has over 15 years of coaching experience working with high performance players, traveling to different ITF and WTA/ATP circuits in more than 30 countries, including official accreditation in the 4 GRAND SLAMS. He has also been a Davis Cup for El Salvador, and Junior Fed Cup captain for Ecuador.
Our team of coaches have a proven track record of transforming highly promising young athletes into college players, professionals and superstars. The two head coaches Flavio Marretti and Luicelena Perez with a blend of experiences from ITF and PTR certifications to college and professional experience as players. Training at North Miami Beach Academy, you are sure to become a top athlete.
Our SHORT-TIME program includes weeks of training during the year, where the players will get and intense training with the system and methodology by Gabe Jaramillo who has been in the top of the industry as the coach of 8 No. 1 and 28 players in the top 10 in the world, including Kei Nishikori, Camila Osorio, Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Pete Sampras, Maria Sharapova, Monica Seles, Chino Rios, and others.
Also, players enrolling in this program will have the opportunity to play and train with our current high-performance players who have been following the structure all year around. Practice matches, official UTR match play, Coach’s Eye video analysis, are also included in this program to reach maximum potential of our full timers. Academy Director and head coaches will also guide our short time players for scheduling and accompaniment to tournaments during the weekend, including events at the Academy as well.
After our short timers finish their experience at North Miami Beach Academy, they still have access to continue communicating with the academy head coaches for training and tournament advice.
This program goes all year-around, however we have the following packages for special dates during the year:
High Performance Training
The high-performance training includes:
2 hours of tennis in the morning where players work on technique, mostly live ball skills, close and semi close live ball drills, and specific instructions following the Periodization of the semester which is prepared by our elite coaches. Tennis session in the morning is followed by:
1 hour of Fitness and Conditioning regimen that includes a variety of training modalities such as, aerobic and anaerobic development through sustained low intensity activities and short duration sprinting and change of direction exercises; not to mention overall strength training and nutritional awareness coaching.
2 hours session in the afternoon for tactical purposes, match play, UTR certified matches and different drills and games to teach the players how to play and win more matches.
